Paw People invites the community to join them in this heartwarming celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi, where values of coexistence, compassion, and environmental stewardship will take center stage.
Paw People's Eco-Friendly Ganesh Chaturthi: Celebrating Nature and Coexistence
Paw People, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured and sick street dogs, is gearing up for a unique and environmentally conscious celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi this year.
In a bid to preserve nature and foster coexistence between humans and animals, Paw People celebrated by installing a handmade clay Ganpati idol at their esteemed Recovery Centre.
Ganesh Chaturthi, a significant Hindu festival, traditionally involves the immersion of Ganpati idols made from plaster of Paris into bodies of water. This practice, while deeply rooted in tradition, poses a threat to the environment due to the non-biodegradable nature of the idols and the toxic materials used in their creation.
Paw People, ever-committed to its mission of promoting peaceful coexistence between humans and nature, has chosen to take a different path. A dedicated volunteer, along with the Paw People team, will personally craft the Ganpati idol from clay at the Recovery Centre. This eco-friendly initiative aligns with the organization's values and sends a powerful message about the importance of preserving nature and wildlife.
"We believe that our celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi should be a reflection of our commitment to the environment and our cohabitation with all living beings," says Abhishek, Co-Founder of Paw People. "Our handmade clay Ganpati idol symbolizes the harmony we strive to create between humans, animals, and nature."
Sakshi, Co-Founder of Paw People, adds, "This celebration is not just about worshipping the divine; it's about respecting and protecting the divinity in every living being."
The eco-friendly celebration at Paw People's Recovery Centre will not only feature the handmade idol but will also incorporate elements of mindfulness, environmental education, and compassion. The event aims to raise awareness about the need for sustainable practices during festivals while highlighting the organization's ongoing efforts in animal rescue and rehabilitation.
Paw People invites the community to join them in this heartwarming celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi, where values of coexistence, compassion, and environmental stewardship will take center stage.
Paw People remains committed to its mission of creating a world where every dog knows the warmth of a loving home, and where humans and nature thrive together in harmony.
