About Paw People

We're just a bit crazy. Actually a lot. About dogs.

We're Abhishek and Sakshi and this is our incredible journey of building Paw People. We never imagined that our lives would take this extraordinary turn when we first right-swiped each other on Tinder back in 2016.

Our story didn't stop at "I do" either.

It evolved into something bigger, something profound. We adopted two amazing rescued dogs and began documenting our journey of feeding community dogs on Instagram. Little did we know that this humble start would lead us down a path filled with purpose and compassion.

Our journey began with a simple act of love – feeding around 20 street dogs in our neighbourhood during the COVID period. As our pack expanded, so did our mission.

By 2020, we found ourselves feeding 90 dogs daily in Pune, where our love for these animals finally knew no bounds.

But it was a turning point that changed everything. When one of our beloved dogs was injured in a car accident, we faced a daunting challenge – finding a safe place for her to heal.

At that moment, our dream of opening a Recovery Home was born.

We packed our bags, moved to Bhopal, and poured our hearts and savings into creating the Paw People Recovery Centre in Bhopal. It wasn't just a shelter; it was a sanctuary of healing and care – the first of its kind in Central India.

But Paw People isn't just our story.

It's a celebration of the boundless power of love, compassion, and the belief that every dog deserves a chance at a better life. Today, we have built the first-ever Rescue, Recovery, and Rehabilitation Centre in India, a place of hope and transformation for countless street dogs in need. Fun fact: along the way, we've become parents to 9 incredible desi dogs, each with a unique tale of resilience.

Join us on this incredible journey of love, hope, and co-existence at Paw People. Each pawprint here tells a story of transformation, and together, we're forging a deeper connection between humans and nature, one dog at a time.

Help us save more lives!

Contribute to our mission - help us rescue, heal, and rehome all the dogs in need!
