A Therapeutic Encounter Between Alcoholics Anonymous Members and Rescued Dogs
"Paws of Healing" was a profoundly moving event organized by the Paw People Foundation, in partnership with Alcoholics Anonymous (AA).
This initiative aimed to bridge the gap between two communities on their paths to recovery - AA members seeking sobriety and the rescued dogs seeking a second chance at life. It created an atmosphere of mutual support, healing, and hope where both humans and animals could find solace and strength.
Project Goals
Emotional Healing: To provide a therapeutic and emotionally uplifting experience for Alcoholics Anonymous members through interaction with rescued dogs.
Community Building: To foster a sense of community and support among AA members and the Paw People Foundation team.
Promoting Animal-Assisted Therapy: To showcase the therapeutic potential of animal-assisted interactions in addiction recovery.

Warm Welcome and Orientation: The event began with a warm welcome and orientation, where AA members learned about the Paw People Foundation's mission and met the dedicated volunteers.
