About the Role
Job Summary
The Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care to animals at our recovery center, outpatient clinic, and through home visits. The role includes diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, performing surgical procedures, administering vaccinations, and educating pet owners on animal health and welfare.
Key Responsibilities
Provide medical care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing monitoring, for in-patient animals at our rescue and rehabilitation center.
Conduct consultations, administer vaccinations, and provide treatments for walk-in patients at the outpatient veterinary clinic.
Perform routine and specialized surgeries, including sterilizations.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and other necessary medical treatments.
Conduct home visits to provide professional and compassionate veterinary care as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
Educate pet owners on preventive healthcare, nutrition, and responsible pet ownership.
Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operation of the rescue center and clinic.
Represent Paw People Foundation at various outreach programs, including adoption camps and community awareness initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
A valid license to practice veterinary medicine in India.
Proven experience in small animal practice, with a focus on canine care.
Experience in sterilization procedures for dogs and cats (preferred).
Strong diagnostic and surgical skills.
A compassionate and empathetic approach towards animals.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel for house visits as required.
